FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's ZOLTAN BATHORY: 'Fearlessness Is The Ultimate Power'

Guitarist Zoltan Bathory of Las Vegas metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has posted the following message on his Facebook page:

"I don't know why — but it's always around New Years day/eve when I get quite a few desperate e-mails from people who feel they hit rock bottom and think there is no way out... They are depressed, often suicidal...

"If you are really losing your mind... then don't hesitate and call 1-800-273-8255. It's the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Call them — they are professionals and equipped to help you!

"I'm not a psychologist (so call the hotline) — but since you asked, here is my 2 cents on it:

"When you hit rock bottom — it's always a perfect opportunity to completely change your life. Fear is what keeps everyone from taking chances... but those who have abandoned all hope, they've got nothing to lose ... they are fearless. Fearlessness is the ultimate power. Use it.

"If you read the most successful people's biographies — it always have that sentence in there... 'and there I was homeless with 5 dollars to my name — or something equally unfortunate... This is not a coincidence.

"In a weird way, hitting rock bottom could be the best thing ever happen to you, because you don't have the luxury to be complacent anymore... When shit hits the fan, it should light some fire under your ass. This is the time to make fearless leaps.

"You always fight harder when you're backed into a corner...

"Life just made this mistake... it put you in the corner with no escape... Then this is your time to turn on 'beast mode' ... Do the things you were afraid to do (legal ones) ... Live like there's fire raging in your hair..."
